Deer heads fall from the sky

Taxidermist Brian Sevier received two deer heads in a new fashion recently as he was in the midst of Christmas season services. He saw a helicopter floating towards his property with the large deer heads.
“It was the first time in my 21 years to have mounts delivered by helicopter. I had never heard of mounts being delivered by helicopter,” said Sevier, whose taxidermy service, Buck Treasures, is in its fifth deer season in Stigler.
The mounts were delivered from Kansas and came from “Buck Commander,” an Outdoor Channel show that features Willie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame.
That a famous group would chose Sevier for his services is no surprise, since he has performed taxidermy for three Major League Baseball players, including one retired player, and once appeared on Paris Hilton’s television show, “The Simple Life.”
Sevier does taxidermy for clients in several states while addressing the demands of an ardent Haskell County hunting community.
“I chose this location because it’s an extremely large hunting community,” he said.
Sevier has done mounts from several record book winners, including the Kerr Lake record bass and the Oklahoma state record bear. He also did the first albino deer in Oklahoma.
Sevier does taxidermy of all types of mammals, fish and birds.
