Deadline near to enter Christmas parade

The deadline to enter Stigler’s Christmas parade is fast approaching, according to Janice Williams, executive director of Stigler-Haskell County Chamber of Commerce.
Theme for this year’s parade is  “A Merry Frontline Heroes/Heroines’ Christmas” and it will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5.
There are two categories for entries - community/business floats and education/children’s groups. First ($100) second ($75) and third ($50) place awards will be presented in both categories, Williams explained.
Each parade participant must submit a form to the chamber, even if participants will not have floats.
Registration forms are available on the city/chamber website, www.stiglerok.net. The forms also include complete details regarding parade participation.
The chamber of commerce must receive registration forms by Dec. 3.
