Cowboys and cowgirls participate in Keota Rodeo

The Keota Roundup Rodeo drew crowds, and cowgirls and cowboys from all over the state. The two-night event was held at the Round-Up Club arena in Keota on Friday, Aug.16 and Saturday, Aug. 17. It was put on by Ward Rodeo Company.
The rodeo featured several events, including bareback riding, ranch and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, junior bullriding, calf roping, team roping, women’s breakaway and barrel racing, junior barrel racing, peewee barrel racing, mutton bustin and a nightly calf scramble.
