Communty, Church calendar (Sept. 2-8)

**Due to Labor Day being on Sept. 6, the Stigler VFW and Americal Legion will not meet until Oct. 4. The American Legion, Legion Hut (Haskell County Museum), will meet at noon to have a working lunch and invites anyone who wants to become a member to come join them. The VFW will have a meal starting at 6 p.m. and is inviting all military to come out and become a member if you aren’t already.**

Thursday, Sept. 2

* Bingo - Stigler VFW, mini bingo at 4:30 p.m., early bird at 6 p.m. and regular bingo at 7 p.m.; call Bill Bender at 918-441-0910.

* Porum Police Department test  - Siren test; between 10 a.m. and noon, weather permitting.

Sunday, Sept. 5

Special program - Victory Worship is hosting a special singer, Joyce Johnson, during the 10:45 a.m. service. Everyone is welcome. 400 N. J. Street. Quinton.

Tuesday, Sept. 7 

 * Food, clothes pantry -  Old Panther Church; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information, contact June at 918-448-7742 or Donna at 918-945-7385. * Gospel singing Fish Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Kinta will host a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Wednesday, Sept. 8

*Methodist Church store - 502 N. Broadway St., Stigler; 9 a.m. to noon.

* Free clothing  - Trinity Baptist Church, Trinity Clothes Closet, South Broadway Street, Stigler; 9 a.m. to noon. *Women’s Bible study Trinity Baptist Church will host a women’s Bible study at noon at the Trinity Clothes Closet on South Broadway Street in Stigler.

* Bible Study -  First Christian Church, 506 N.E. F St., Stigler. 6 p.m.

UPCOMING

Homecoming canceled -  Palestine Community Church in Quinton has canceled their annual Homecoming scheduled for Sept. 12 due to the rise of COVID-19 this year. They want everyone to stay safe.
