Communities plan Independence Day celebrations

Area Independence Day celebratrations include:

July 1 - Kinta will conduct its community fireworks display at dark in downtown Kinta.

July 2 - McCurtain’s Annual July Celebration will start at 10 a.m. with a parade. Turtle races will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. and horseshoes will be at noon. Don’t Tell Dena will perform from noon to 2 p.m. in the park and the cornhole competition will begin at 3 p.m.
The softball tournament will be  held throughout the day and fireworks will be shot off at dark at the city park.

July 4 - The 4th Fest fireworks display at Lake John Wells in Stigler will be at 9:30 p.m.
The event will be sponsored by Stigler First Assembly Church.

All events are free for the public to attend.
