Commissioners sign resolution

Haskell County Commissioners approved a resolution during a brief special meeting on Thursday, Dec. 21.

The resolution states, “We the Board of County Commissioners of Haskell County hereby authorize Holly Hinton, County Treasurer, to invest in the First National Bank of Stigler, Central National Bank of Stigler, and the Farmers State Bank of Stigler, any monies that may be in excess and available from either the General Fund or investment accounts. She is hereby authorized to invest said monies for a term that she sees necessary to give the maximum benefit to Haskell County.”

Regarding the resolution, Commissioner Clark McClary said “It is exactly the same wording as the resolution that we signed for the previous treasurer last year.”
