City reminding residents of rules regarding trash

Stigler residents are being reminded to follow the city’s rules regarding trash pickup.
All household trash must be bagged and placed by the curb by 7 a.m. on the designated trash pick up day.
Bagged trash may be placed directly on the curb or in trash cans, however trash cans are not required by the city.
City employees will take the bagged trash from the curb or trash cans, but will not pick up large trash barrels or trash that is not bagged.
The city will pick up household trash only.
City officials are also reminding residents that dumpsters that are being paid for by businesses, are for their use only. Dumpsters at the city lake are for personal trash from individuals who are taking advantage of the amenities at the lake. Use of the dumpsters by others is illegal.
