Choctaw Nation presents gravestone cleaning class

A gravestone cleaning class was recently presented at San Bois Cemetery.
Skyler Robinson, who is responsible for cemetery preservation with the Choctaw Nation, presented the class, explained Councilman Ron Perry.
Perry said the class was presented at the request of some of the Choctaw Nation’s  seniors.
The hands-on instruction was presented at the grave site of Green McCurtain, former chief of the Choctaw Nation, Perry explained.
Cemetery preservation is important for the Choctaw Nation, Perry said. Two crews are responsible for preservation at the cemeteries in the Choctaw Nation.
