Choctaw Community Partner Fund awards the City of Stigler and Haskell County

The Choctaw Nation awarded the City of Stigler $6,600 and Haskell County $3,800 from the Choctaw Community Partner Fund on Feb. 5. 

According to a press release, the funds are to help strengthen and develop the local area, and the Choctaw Nation will distribute a voluntary contribution on a quarterly basis to cities and counties that operate non-gaming businesses throughout the Nation’s 10.5 counties.

The Choctaw Nation conducts a Choctaw Community Partner Fund Check Presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The Choctaw Nation presented the City of Stigler with a check for $6,600. From left, are Janice Williams (executive director of Stigler-Haskell County Chamber of Commerce), John Jones, Tom Marlatt and Larry Hall (KI BOIS Community Action), Ron Perry (Choctaw Nation Council member for District 5), Larry Godfrey (Stigler mayor), Bobby Mouser (Stigler city manager)  and Cheryl Monks (Stigler city clerk).
