Candidate filing period begins April 13

Statewide election activity will begin at 8 a.m., Wednesday April 13 when the filing period opens.
Candidates for county offices will file with the Secretary of the County Election Board. Haskell County Election Board Secretary Rhonda Hurst said the following offices are expected to be filled this year: County Assessor, County Treasurer, County Commissioner District 1 and County Commissioner District 3.
Filing forms and information may be obtained by contacting the Haskell County Election Board at (918) 967-8792 or HaskellCounty@electionsok.gov.
The Haskell County Election Board is located at 202 E. Main St. Suite 1 and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Filing packets for both state and county offices are also available for download on the State Election Board’s website at oklahoma.gov/elections.
Candidates filing for federal, state, legislative, judicial, and district attorney offices will file with the Secretary of the State Election Board at the State Capitol, located at 2300 N. Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City. Filing will take place on the ground floor, in the east hallway of the State Capitol.
The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Friday, April 15.
