Bid for local hospital approved
A bidder for Haskell County Community Hospital has been chosen, according to the attorney for Haskell County-Stigler Hospital Authority II. The attorney, Michael Linscott, made that announcement during a meeting of the hospital authority on Monday, Jan. 27. Boa Vida Healthcare of Crown Point, Ind., was the sole bidder in the final bidding process, and the company’s bid was accepted in bankruptcy court, according to Linscott.
Publisher's note: At time of press, information about the sale of the hospital was found to be contingent on court's decision. The Stigler News Sentinel will be providing updated coverage as information is obtained.
