Authority working to bring hospital out of bankruptcy
Members of Haskell County-Stigler Hospital Authority II on Oct. 4 authorized its attorney to negotiate with the bankruptcy trustee to bring Haskell County Community Hospital out of bankruptcy as quickly as possible.
The decision by the hospital authority was reached at the conclusion of a lengthy special meeting which was conducted one day after the majority of the employees at Haskell County Community Hospital were laid off due to lack of operating funds.
