Angel Tree program’s volunteers appreciated

Stigler High School students volunteered their time during the Haskell County Angel Tree Program registration Oct. 13-Oct. 28.

Angels are now on the trees at four area locations; Wal-Mart, Sharpe’s, Stigler Haskell County Public Library and First United Methodist Church-Stigler. Angels will be available until Dec. 12 and all gifts should be delivered by 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 to the Stigler News-Sentinel at 204 S. Broadway. The gifts will be ready for parents and guardians to pick up on Dec. 19 and 20 at the Stigler News-Sentinel.

“The Haskell County Angel Tree program would not be possible without the support of volunteers,” said Summer Long, publisher and advertising manager of the Stigler News-Sentinel, and director of the Angel Tree program. “We appreciate the students who volunteered and the community members who are purchasing gifts for area children.”
